Targeted Aesthetic Concerns

Who Lip Blush May Be Right For

Lip Blush may be considered for uneven pigmentation, faded borders, pale color, and minor asymmetry. Results and suitability vary by person.

Dark & Uneven Pigmentation

Lip Blush may help improve the appearance of uneven or two-toned lip pigmentation. Depending on your natural undertones, a separate neutralization treatment plan may be recommended before applying your desired shade. Multiple sessions may be required, and the achievable color varies.

Faded & Lost Vermilion Borders

Lip Blush enhances the appearance of naturally faded lip borders, creating clearer definition without adding physical volume.

Pale, Washed-Out Lip Color

Lip Blush may add a soft tint and definition to pale-looking lips. The final shade depends on your natural lip color, undertone, and healing response.

Uneven Curves & Cupid's Bow

Careful lip mapping and pigment placement can improve the appearance of minor asymmetries and create a more balanced-looking Cupid's bow.

Your natural lip color, undertone, and healing response influence the shade and outcome. A consultation helps set realistic expectations.

The Healing Journey · What to Expect

Your Lip Healing & Color Evolution

Healing varies. These stages outline common changes as the lips recover and the pigment settles.

01Day of Treatment (Day 0)

Mapping & Pigment Placement

Your artist maps your lips and applies the selected pigment. Lips may appear brighter than the final result, with temporary swelling or tenderness.

02Days 1 to 3

Vibrant Tone & Mild Fullness

Lips may feel tender or appear swollen as they heal. Use only the recommended aftercare products, and follow your artist’s instructions.

03Days 4 to 7

Light Micro-Flaking

Skin naturally sheds in fine micro-flakes (like chapped lips). Do not scrub or pick. Color may look lighter or uneven as flaking resolves, then settle over the following weeks.

04Weeks 2 to 8

Color Settling & Follow-Up

As the lips continue healing, pigment gradually settles into a softer, more natural-looking shade. Color may appear uneven or temporarily lighter during healing. The final result is generally assessed after approximately 6–8 weeks, when a perfecting touch-up may be recommended.

Longevity & Follow-Up

Maintaining Your Lip Blush Results

Lip Blush is a cosmetic tattoo often described as semi-permanent. Results commonly last 1–3 years, but fading varies, residual pigment can remain visible longer, and it may not disappear completely. A refresh may be considered as color fades.

Preparation & Aftercare

Preparing for Your Appointment & Easy Aftercare

These general steps can help you prepare for treatment and care for your lips as they heal. Follow the instructions provided for your procedure.

Part 01

Before Your Procedure

Before Your Visit
01

Hydrate Lips with Gentle Balm

Keeping your lips moisturized before treatment can help minimize dryness and prepare the skin for pigment application. Use a gentle lip balm in the days leading up to your appointment.

02

Cold Sore History

If you have a history of cold sores, inform your artist before booking. Lip Blush may trigger a recurrence of the herpes simplex virus. Consult your healthcare provider about whether preventive antiviral medication is appropriate and follow their prescribed instructions.

03

Share Recent Treatments & Medicines

Tell your artist about recent lip fillers or peels, current medications, and supplements. Do not stop prescribed medicines without advice from your healthcare provider; follow your artist’s preparation instructions.

Part 02

Healing & Aftercare

During Recovery
01

Use Recommended Aftercare Balm

Use aftercare products as directed by your artist, applying them with clean hands or a clean applicator.

02

Never Pick or Scrub Peeling Skin

Allow light flaking to resolve naturally. Avoid picking or scrubbing the treated area while it heals.

03

Avoid Irritating Foods & Submerging

During initial healing, avoid foods that irritate your lips, such as very spicy, acidic, or excessively hot foods. Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and saunas until the treated area has healed, following your artist’s aftercare instructions.

04

Keep Lips Clean During Healing

Follow your artist’s cleansing instructions, avoid touching your lips with unwashed hands, and use only recommended aftercare products while the treated area heals.

05

Watch for Signs of Infection

Contact your healthcare provider if you experience worsening redness, increasing pain, spreading swelling, pus, fever, or other concerning symptoms during healing.

Common Inquiries

Frequently asked questions about Lip Blush

Answers about suitability, sessions, healing, aftercare, and results.

Lip Blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo treatment that adds pigment to enhance natural lip color and definition. A soft tint is the intended finish, and it does not add physical volume. Results vary, and some pigment may remain visible longer than expected or may not disappear completely.

Suitability depends on your natural lip pigmentation and undertones. Color neutralization may be discussed for darker or uneven pigmentation, and it can require multiple sessions. Your artist can assess your lips and explain realistic shade options during a consultation.

Topical numbing may be used to reduce discomfort, but sensations vary from person to person. Your artist can discuss comfort measures before treatment.

Results commonly last 1–3 years, but fading and refresh timing vary. Because Lip Blush is a cosmetic tattoo, residual pigment may remain visible longer or may not disappear completely.

Lips may look brighter and feel tender or swollen at first, followed by light flaking as they heal. Color can look uneven or temporarily lighter during recovery. Healing varies; the final result is generally assessed after approximately 6–8 weeks, when a perfecting touch-up may be recommended.

Tell your artist about any history of cold sores, recent lip treatments, current medications, and supplements. Do not stop prescribed medicines without advice from your healthcare provider. If you have a history of cold sores, ask your healthcare provider whether preventive antiviral medication is appropriate and follow their instructions.

Tell your artist about previous fillers so they can assess your lips and discuss appropriate timing. Lip Blush adds pigment; fillers are used to add physical volume.

Lip Blush is offered by Monica at Parsa Wellness Clinic’s North Vancouver and Chilliwack locations. A consultation can cover your natural lip color, goals, shade options, treatment process, healing, and whether the service is appropriate for you.

Many clients begin with an initial session and a perfecting touch-up approximately 6–8 weeks later. Additional sessions may be recommended depending on natural pigmentation, pigment retention, and desired results.

Lip Blush does not physically increase lip volume. Color and border definition may create the appearance of a fuller or more balanced shape, depending on your natural lips and the result achieved.

Treatment may not be appropriate if you have active cold sores, an infection, lip irritation, or certain health conditions that affect healing. Your artist can review your health history and advise whether additional medical guidance is needed.

Avoid applying conventional lipstick, lip gloss, or other cosmetic lip products while the treated area is healing, unless your artist advises otherwise. Once your lips have healed, you can generally return to your usual lip makeup routine.

Lip Blush can enhance or adjust the appearance of natural lip pigmentation, but the achievable shade depends on your existing lip color and undertones. Clients with darker or cooler-toned lips may require pigment neutralization or additional sessions. Your artist can discuss realistic color expectations during your consultation.
